Teacher's Speech Acts in Indonesian Language Learning at Islamic Boarding School

Pesantren, or Islamic boarding school, is one of the places where speech acts occur between teachers and students. The linguistic phenomena in school environment are very diverse. This study aimed to describe teachers' learning Indonesian language class VIII at Boarding School Salsabila Samarinda, focusing on exploring locutionary, illocutionary, perlocutionary acts. used a qualitative descriptive research method phenomenon. data source was teacher's learning. collection techniques this were observation, recording, transcription. In study, obtained results recordings that transcribed obtain written notes from subject. analysis collecting, analyzing, interpreting data. showed found locutionary form news question, illocutionary directive utterances, convivial motivational functions. spoken by teacher process 52 30 25. teacher’s have particular characteristics like using terms, Arabic language, containing religious motivation utterances. might implications contribute insights about environment.
